SPIFOX (Scottish Property Industry Festival of Christmas) celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2014.  Since 1983, the registered charity has raised over £2.75m for children’s charities in Scotland, making a real difference to the lives of, literally, thousands of young people.

SPIFOX (and SPIFOX Too, the ‘younger version!’) run a number of events throughout the year which culminates in mid-December with its Christmas Carol Concert and Lunch in Edinburgh.

This year’s event which took place on the 18th December, rounded off another very successful year by hosting the biggest sit down lunch in the UK outside central London at the newly extended Edinburgh International Conference Centre where a record 1,434 guests raised a massive £180,000 for the four main beneficiaries – Children 1st, The Sick Kids Friends Foundation, Richmond’s Hope and Sistema Scotland.

A Christmas Carol Concert at St Cuthbert’s Parish Church preceded the lunch, where special guest Ms Nicola Benedetti who, along with two very special young musicians from the Big Noise Symphony Orchestra, performed exclusively for the SPIFOX congregation.

Alasdair MacConnell, Partner at BH EnergyGap, has been a SPIFOX Trustee since 2005.Spifox-with-strapline-large-CMYK-e1398356081328
